I suggested we simply reprogram the remote to operate the way its intended. $1000 device that operated like the $10 remotes you get at the drug store. Nothing removed nothing arranged or tweaked. When i got to the house for the first time years ago i found a poorly programmed remote that had no macros.just every device added to the remote via software. one of our clients put us in touch with his mother to provide her with a touchscreen for her family room because she wasn't happy with the URC remote that the "security/AV" company provided her with. I'm posting the email conversation with the client just to give viewers of this thread an example of some of the things we deal with on a daily basis.īackstory. She sent me an email so i wanted to make sure i knew what i was talking about before responding lol. I'm not sure whether she ever used or had CC before now. She had someone out to reprogram after switching from comcast to wow then back to comcast. All we did was provide a touchpanel to control the stand alone family room surround system after the fact. This system was actually installed and serviced by someone else. The science project user interface is awful. After a year (not really since ive been out of town 90% of it) of comcast ill never do it again. I got tired of torrenting HBO original series so i got Cable last year only because its a rental and i wasn't interested in installing or paying to have a dish installed. I personally have comcast because we cut the DirecTV cord about 5 or 6 years ago and lived without "TV" for a long time. 1 who wont leave DISH, another whos building doesn't have DirecTV and this one. I think we have 3 clients that don't have DirecTV. I would be SHOCKED if there were any discreet code.
I do not know how to accomplish what you speak of. It is absolutely LIGHTYEARS ahead of any cable system. The projects you guys are doing, you should insist on directv.
